James Snyder Broadway Bio

James Snyder is a singer and actor who has made a name for himself through television, film, and theatre roles. James received his BFA from USC School of Dramatic Arts and was a member of the SoCal VoCals, the university’s first a cappella group.

Television, Film, and Theatre Experience

Mr. Snyder began his acting career in 2002 when he played the role of Kyle in Anna’s Dream, a TV movie, and starred as Luke Skywalker in Patrick Gorman’s Star Wars Trilogy in Thirty Minutes that same year. James would later appear in television shows such as Gilmore Girls, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Without a Trace, and Cold Case. James also appeared in films including She’s the Man, Pretty Persuasion, Shuttle, An American in China, Meth Head, and a host of others.

In addition to his roles in film and television, James Snyder has a wide range of theatre credits, a few of which include Rock of Ages, The Fantasticks, Happy Days, Let’s All Kill Constance, Sneaux, Hamlet, Plop, Oklahoma, If/Then, Johnny Baseball, Fanny, Dangerous Beauty, Ever After, Cry-Baby, In Transit, and, most recently, The Music Man.

Outside of his work in film, television, and theatre, James Snyder is known for his passion for music. In 2008, James released his debut solo album, LA Curse. James has previously held shows with the Hartford Symphony and the New York Pops, at Barre in Los Angeles (with Bryce Ryness), Birdland (with Prince Charming), Cry-Baby Reunion at 54 Below, as well as several benefit concerts and tribute shows.
